About Us

Caroline C. Cooley, Esq. is the managing partner of our law firm and received her undergraduate degree in International Studies and Spanish from Austin College in Sherman, Texas in 1996. Ms. Cooley graduated from the University of Denver College of Law in 1998, and is admitted to practice in the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, the federal District Court of the State of Colorado and the state of Colorado. She is also member of the Colorado Bar Association and the Douglas/Elbert Bar Association.
In addition to litigating complex family law issues including divorce, custody, child support, and post-decree matters, Ms. Cooley leads the Animal Law department of our practice, which serves the equine and canine communities. She handles complex equine litigation matters including veterinary malpractice, insurance claims, and breach of contract matters. Ms. Cooley is undefeated in defending animal cruelty allegations, and has an impressive win record in defending other animal criminal infractions.

Leyla E. Scott is a dedicated Colorado attorney, striving to professionally and ethically serve her clients. Driven to the natural beauty and good-hearted people of Colorado, she made her home here and dedicated herself to improving her community by supporting numerous charities and non-profit organizations.
Having spent the better part of the past decade focusing on civil litigation and business transactions, Ms. Scott is an experienced attorney, who prides herself on passionate representation and dedication to her clients.
Ms. Scott has a well established track record of successfully counseling and representing clients in high conflict matters. Her professional experience ranges from numerous jury trials to helping negotiate and draft multi-million dollar international construction contracts. Ms. Scott serves clients requiring help with family law matters, tenant–landlord disputes, and business law counseling.
Prior to beginning her legal career, Ms. Scott worked as a chemical engineer and was the recipient of the University Scholars and Hope Scholarship awards at the University of South Carolina. Ms. Scott is an alumna of the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law.
Ms. Scott is active in many athletic endeavors and is member of the LUNA Chix Denver Run Team. Nation-wide, the LUNA Chix Program includes 26 LUNA Chix Local Teams and the LUNA Chix Pro Team. Together, the teams train, compete and support each other, while also fundraising for LUNA's non-profit partner, the Breast Cancer Fund.
